About me

I am a trusted, professional editor and writer with a passion for helping authors tell their stories, their way.

With more than a decade of in-house editorial experience at HarperCollins and Hodder & Stoughton, I’ve worked with non-fiction authors to craft their books from pitch stage through to final publication.

Whether you need of a book doctor, an editor or a writer, I am both flexible and sensitive in my approach. Naturally curious, I enjoy adapting to each author's individual style and learning about their specific area of expertise. I don’t rewrite an author’s voice, I strengthen and elevate it.

As a non-fiction specialist, I have experience across a wide range of genres. From creating bestselling illustrated cookery books and TV tie-ins to editing memoirs, sports biographies, soft business, smart thinking, current affairs, self-help and nature musings, I'm always up for getting stuck into a new project.

I currently work with authors directly as well as top publishers, literary agents, brands and PR agencies.

With sound advice and spot-on editorial judgement, Helen was instrumental in helping me get my book off the ground. I loved working with her
